Audience: Patients interested in the evidence of art and the healing process when selecting a hospital for long term care or treatments.

Context: Creating hospital design with natural lighting,artwork and other design features are beneficial for patients well-being by providing positive distractions and a more soothing environment. Case studies and evidence support the use of art and design in patient care facilities.

Purpose: To provide evidence of the way art and beauty in a hospital setting help patients heal more quickly.
