FINAL PROJECT PROPOSAL: Magnus Opus and Exigence > Properties and Applications of Quantum Dots

AUDIENCE: Undergraduate Physic students who may still be undecided on which field to pursue research on. For a secondary audience, perhaps politicians who have influence over the funding of institutions that perform research on this field.

CONTEXT: This will be an informative guide on the applications and properties of quantum dots. I will discuss the research findings of several institutions and the implications in engineering.

PURPOSE: To inform undergraduates students on modern quantum dot research areas. After reading this article, students should have gained more confidence in deciding whether nanoparticles is an area in which they would like pursue in graduate school. Additionally, politicians should be able to gain a better appreciation for research in quantum dots and hopefully resist any possible cuts to programs in this field.

A, I like the idea of introducing this concept to first or second year undergraduate physics students.

Will you use formal citation? Number system? Author date? And, will you write in LaTex?
