Very interesting idea! I'm not sure if you are working in the Glasper lab, but they are doing very similar work with psychological behavior in peromyscus mice! It would be interesting to see if there is a difference in the dopamine circuit depending on whether the mouse is monogamous or peromyscus, potentially in peromyscus polionotus and maniculatus.

Audience: This review is intended for my lab and my thesis committee (experts).
Context: This review will be used as part of my thesis.
Purpose: A literature review will highlight the gap in current research and the motivation for the study as a whole.
Content: This review will synthesize the extant literature regarding dopamine development in model organisms throughout life and between sexes. Additionally, I will discuss existing neurotransmitter maps of the Peromyscus californicus and recent tissue processing and imaging techniques (i.e. tissue clearing and light sheet microscopy).
