FINAL PROJECT PROPOSAL: Magnus Opus and Exigence > A Comprehensive Guide to Navigating Academic Misconduct Charges
I think this guide is very important for students as a lot of the UMD material related to this is extensive and long-winded and hard to understand.

I believe this guide will be a great help to students who have found themselves in a situation with Academic Dishonesty; specifically I think it will really help students who believe they were wrongly charged. Many students in that situation definitely panic and have a hard time navigating it (I've had a couple of friends in the situation). If not already planning to, I think having some direct quotes or testimonial from people who have been in the situation (or are involved in the process) would be helpful.

R, curated links would be helpful to, to the honor code and other UMD web places.
What do other campuses do? Are such guides available online so that you could compare?
I think you might also want to include some psychological support on the emotional fall out of being falsely accused.
I also think that some central portion of the document might be devoted to definitions of plagiarism. See Rebecca Moore Horward's work on this.
I also want to touch base with you on if this document will cause you some rift with your role here? Let's chat briefly about that professional concern.

The context is that many students going through the process are going through it for the first time and aren't sure how everything works.
The purpose is to educate students on how the process would work so that students aren't caught off-guard.
Document Type: Student Guide
Citation Type: Most likely would use natural language.
