FINAL PROJECT PROPOSAL: Magnus Opus and Exigence > Self-Care Guidelines for Protecting the Mental Health of Therapists and Clinicians
I think that this is an extremely important topic to touch on and an issue that needs to be discussed much more openly in health professions. Considering many of us are planning to go into a health profession I think it could help us navigate our own mental health better.
I also read a really good article on this issue that might be of interest to you at https://www.doctorportal.com.au/mjainsight/2018/41/learn-from-me-speak-out-seek-help-get-treatment/.
I also recommend reading response 30 it was really powerful.

This is a really interesting topic. Mental health is so important but not much is said about the mental health of those who are apart of its treatment.

I think this is really a great topic to write about, especially since some clinicians do not seek treatment because of stigma. Mental health should be a priority and self-care is crucial for those working in high-stress fields.

See the audience reaction to how important this topic is? That should boost your confidence.
You might look at the suicide data for health professionals, especially the counseling/therapy/social work fields you are interested in.
How are you finding the literature? Try Pub Med, in addition to clinical psychology journals.

I think this is a really interesting and important topic to be looking into. If you wanted, I think you could also look at the mental health of dentists.
