Audience: Soil judging team, includes professor and teammates (undergrad students)

Will this be in a specific part of California or just general California? It's a big state with a lot of different soil types so I just wanted to clarify. This could also have applications for people plantings since the soil type can greatly affect the success of the plant. I look forward to reading about the different soil types.
