FINAL PROJECT PROPOSAL: Magnus Opus and Exigence > Navigating Stress and Anxiety as a College Student
S, I love the goal of this document: to help students (and you, your friends, perhaps classmates).
Can you narrow, so to give a small but useful piece to your readers (and not struggle to write a book this semester!).
For example, you could focus on test taking strategies to reduce stress. (one blog post)
Define several types of anxiety for students, focussing on performance anxiety and how to manage (another blog post)
Value of managing stress/anxiety:
community
sleep
exercise
good food
humor
---
Let's carve out a piece and not require an entire book of perfect strategies to KILL anxiety dead.

Audience:
This document will be written for an audience of college-aged students. They will not need to be experts in the scientific field to understand the biological ideas covered in the document.
Context:
Students in the present day and age are always stressed out. Whether it be from academics, social structures, or even sleep hygiene, students tend to have anxiety constantly. There needs to be a document written by a college student for college student about conquering stress, and that helps readers to find ways to eliminate their own anxiety.
Purpose:
The purpose of this document will be to gain a better understanding of how stress and anxiety works in the brain, and to recognize where the reader’s biggest area of stress is. They will then be given tools and strategies to implement that will hopefully work to reduce their stress levels.
Document Type:
The document will be a sort of web blog post. It will not be written in the most formal scientific style, as the goal is to teach young people who are not professionals in the world of science about their brains and their anxiety. It will be a more casual document that is a sort of self-help guide to stress reduction that would often be seen as a blog post.
Design/Format:
The document will begin by engaging the reader, and then will go on to explain the science of stress in non-expert terms. Next, the document will go into three of the most common reasons of stress for college students: academics, social life, and sleep hygiene. Each of these stressors will be summarized, followed by strategies and tips that can be implemented to reduce stress in that particular area. The document will end with a conclusion on why controlling stress is so important and will give more resources that readers can go to if they need help with anxiety.
Citation Style:
This document will be written in mostly a natural language but will include some APA citations (from areas such as the mechanism of stress in the brain and different stress reducing strategies to use). There will also be referral links to resource pages that readers can go to for more help.
