FINAL PROJECT PROPOSAL: Magnus Opus and Exigence > Advanced Nanoscribe Printing Laboratory Manual
A, I love when students write laboratory documents. Truly, this is such a service to others. And, when you teach? Well, you KNOW.
Make sure that you write about two-three pages of prose that covers background (requirement of the program). I will talk about this in class.
Consider that your primary audience is future workers, with secondary audience your laboratory supervisors. If you make them pleased, I will be pleased.

Audience: This paper will be written for undergraduate students working in the BAM laboratory. These researchers will be working to print the lattice structures in channels for future use. This audience is assumed to have basic laboratory skills, training on the Nanoscribe printer, and training in the Fabrication laboratory.
Context: New Undergraduate Research Assistants need to be told the procedures to print lattice structures in channels from start to finish. It is better to have them typed out than to waste the time of the graduate students. These undergraduate students have done many other prints on the Nanoscribe printer and are familiar with the basic functions of the printer. This is the first of many experiments to determine the ideal lattice structures to support the intended final product. These intended designs will be used to model human organs for drug development.
Purpose: The purpose of this laboratory manual is to give beginner researchers step-by-step instructions on how to print these lattice structures in the channels. The intent is for this manual to be used by future Undergraduate Researchers in the BAM lab to either continue this research or modify it for their new, but similar experiments.
DOCUMENT TYPE: Laboratory Manual
Design/format: This laboratory manual will provide step-by-step instructions for multiple procedures needed for one experiment. There will be background information on why we are doing this experiment and the information that we have learned through research on lattice structures. Then, there will be multiple procedures written out that are needed to create two devices options that can be printed on. The next procedure is for the print. And the third procedure is for the development process. There will be closing information to explain the following steps that could be taken after.
Citation style: For background citations, APA citations will be used. There will be many natural citations and referral links throughout the procedures.
