FINAL PROJECT:Structures and Arguments > Characterization of Revoluta and tso1-1 Interactions

Beginning:
Introduction: Provide the audience with the necessary background information to understand the research thesis. Mention the importance of this study and the application to meristem regulation and flower development.
-Background on tso1-1
-Background on myb3r-1 and myb3r-12
-Background on Revoluta and HD-ZIPIII family

Middle:
Methods and results. I will give detailed explanation of the methods I used for each experiment and follow up with the results of each experiment.
-Knock-down
-Knock-out with CRISPR
-qPCR to measure mRNA

End:
Analysis and discussion of results. I will end with what information is still unknown and what future experiments can be proposed. The discussion of my results will explore what my results mean to crop production, basic research, and meri-stem development.

Logos: My logos will include a very detailed methods that the reader can reproduce. This detail increases the logos of my thesis and I will reference published papers to support my background information.

Pathos: My pathos includes the significance of this research. This will come out the most in my discussion.

Ethos: My ethos will come out in my thesis when I make references to the scientists that have previously studied tso1-1 and HD-ZIPIII genes.

Structure: My structure follows IMRAD format with an abstract to summarize my thesis.

Goal: My goal is to conclude my research and share how my research can be applicable to flower development and meristem regulation.

N, looks like a good plan. Have you been asked for a writing sample in your graduate school application process? You may find that this thesis write up could work for that request. Even if you have not been asked yet, this could come up in the spring.

Is this your title? I think you need a fuller, descriptive title. And, generally, did your confirm your hypothesis in the several original research questions posed?
