FINAL PROJECT: Abstract and Reader's Reponse > The Invincible Youth

In this paper, I aim to shine a light on the various difficulties faced by undocumented youths. Furthermore, I will provide information about the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA) Program, an Executive Order passed by former President Barack Obama. This document aims to educate professors and teaching assistants at the University of Maryland, College Park on resources available for DACA undergraduate students in case they ever interact with one.  In addition, this document aims to educate DACA students about resources available to them in Maryland and what to do if they are ever detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers. Moreover, I will discuss the current state of argument in the Government regarding DACA. Also, I will define what sanctuary cities are and how the term relates to Maryland. This paper will close with frequently asked questions (FAQs) about DACA.

Reader’s Response:
This is an informative article but I don’t plan on helping individuals who entered this country illegally. The introduction to your guide was not compelling for me at all. You might want to try a different route next time, maybe use statics. Statistics about impact of DACA beneficiaries on the economy might persuade me a little more to help out. Also, you should elaborate more on why DACA was seen as unconstitutional. There was a reason why it was rescinded. Lastly, ease up on the DACA recipient anecdotes.

I would call this a guide that informs.

Also, your title does not help the reader see what your guide contains.

Make sure that you include the several new programs on campus that help DACA students. Search on UMD home page to find them. Several of them also involve the campus ministry offices. Ask me about this. Is hidden but there.
