How to Shave Your Legs; a Beginners Guide

1) Gather the following items: razor with sharp blade (choose a Venus razor for the closest shave), shaving lotion and band aides(may not be needed).

2) During normal showering routine, lather the right bare leg with shaving lotion approximately half centimeter thick. Lather all areas of this leg that you want to shave, extent of shaving is a personal preference.

3) Begin shaving from the ankle towards the knee, making slow progress with the razor to avoid missing areas. Do not press too firmly on leg; apply enough pressure so that hair and lotion is gone after the razor passes.

4) Rinse razor and repeat step 3 on patch of leg directly parallel to the patch just shaved. Continue until entire bottom half of leg is shaved. There should be no lotion or hair left on the bottom half of the leg.

5) Should there be remaining stubble relather and repeat over unshaven areas.

6) Shaving knee (optional): Lather knee and carefully pass razor over (from bottom to top) so that it glides smoothly over the contours. Continue until no hair remains.

7) Shaving thigh (optional): Lather and bring razor from knee to top of thigh in one straight path. Rinse and repeat until all lathered areas are shaven.

8) Repeat steps 2-7 for left leg. Shave only as much as was shaven on the right leg.

9) Should any cuts have been made, clean leg of blood with disinfectant and apply band aide over the cut.
